Tiny needles are inserted at the surface of the skin utilizing a very shallow needling technique. This brings increased Qi (“chee”, your body’s natural energy) and blood to the face and can improve or increase production of collagen and elastin. This allows your face to look firmer, healthier and more youthful.
Facial cupping and application of moisturizing serums may be applied to the face and are included in each treatment.
This therapy includes acupuncture point selections beyond the face to help rebalance energy throughout your body, which in turn reflects through on the skin and in particular the face.

Optimal results are achieved with an initial 10-treatment protocol at 2 treatments a week for five consecutive weeks. Depending on your situation, this may be followed by maintenance, which generally involves one treatment every 1 to 3 months.
The initial consultation includes information about the Mei Zen system as well as an overall health assessment including diet, lifestyle and skincare, in order to best develop a treatment plan that is tailored toward you.

An initial consultation takes place where skin concerns are discussed and an individualized treatment plan is created. Following the treatment, aftercare guidelines are provided by the practitioner, along with complimentary care products for the first treatment.

ACUGLOW FACIAL
Facial Gua Sha is a form of facial massage adapted from the Traditional Chinese Medicine technique that involves using a flat stone with specific strokes to help the skin with its natural healing process. The Gua Sha tool has been designed specifically for contours of the face.

LED RAINBOW LIGHT THERAPY
The Rainbow LED Light has six varying wavelengths of light that is absorbed by molecules in the skin. Inflammation, fine lines, hyperpigmentation, collagen loss and more may be addressed. Your practitioner will discuss the best treatment option for your specific needs. LED light therapy lasts for about 20 minutes. Our office offers add-on LED light treatment to any acupuncture appointment, as well as stand-alone sessions.
