Providing Quality Healthcare

Our mission is to provide integrative and complementary health care to patients with an Eastern approach by applying treatments using acupuncture, herbal medicine, eastern dietary therapy and Chinese medical massage (Tui Na).

Perinton Family Acupuncture provides a holistic approach to patient health and the highest quality of health care in traditional Chinese medicine. By blending traditional healing methods with today’s discoveries in biomedical research, patients are offered an effective medical system that identifies each individual’s unique needs.

We provide a nurturing and inviting environment that encompasses actively listening to patient health care needs. We also strive to educate and empower patients to take part in their own healing process, and in partnership with our clinic, work towards improving their quality of life.

LEA MANILLA

Licensed Acupuncturist
L.Ac., Diplo. O.M.

associate

Lea obtained her licensure from the Pacific College of Health and Sciences in New York City in 2020. She earned her BA in Psychology from Gettysburg College, where she was Team Captain and four year member of the swim team. Lea has a double masters in Acupuncture and Herbology, labeling her as a Diplomate of Chinese Medicine. She has been actively practicing for the last 3 years in New Jersey, where she was born and raised, and met her husband - a Fairport native. They found their way back to his roots and love to call Rochester home.

Lea found acupuncture at 15 years old. As a competitive swimmer, she suffered from rotator’s cuff tendinitis in her shoulder, threatening her career. Not only did acupuncture heal her shoulder, it opened up new possibilities for both current performance and future passion. As she witnessed the benefits first-hand, Lea developed a love for the practice. Since then, she has worked diligently to achieve her dream and welcome others to the world of Chinese medicine.

Lea’s mission as an acupuncturist is to provide a safe haven for each person who walks through her door; she strongly believes everyone has an innate ability to heal themselves, and it is merely her job to help direct them down that path. Lea has been working to grow her practice and continue to help people along their healing journey. She provides health and wellness services foundational to Chinese Medicine, with her primary specialty being acupuncture. She also uses other Chinese Medicine modalities like herbal medicine, cupping, gua sha, moxa, and auricular therapy as auxiliary to her acupuncture treatments. Lea also incorporates nutritional counseling, aromatherapy, and mindfulness. Her experience includes providing care for various pain conditions, sports medicine, anxiety and emotional imbalances, digestive and respiratory issues, insomnia, women’s health, pediatrics, cosmetic acupuncture, and micro-needling.

Acupuncture is an invaluable support in helping us to achieve supreme health and well-being so we can live our most joyful lives. Lea is so excited to walk with you in your journey!
